Hi,

I'm currently evaluating Ranorex for testing with Android mobile apps. Our development group is using MonoDevelop for cross-platform development. I began the eval by testing a simple Android app created in Java under Eclipse and all ran fine using an emulator. I then moved on to one of our apps built under Mono. I used the Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard to instrument a release signed apk for the app.

I'm currently receiving an error the the mscorlib.dll (viewed in logcat) cannot be found when I launch the instrumented app. It launches and runs fine prior to the instrumentation step. It seems that the instrumentation is breaking something in the apk package. I was wondering if it's been verified that Ranorex will work with MonoDroid. I'd be happy to forward the raw apk file to support if that would help.

May I ask if it is possible to send your APK to us? I talked with our development team and they say that this would be the only way to assist you with the problem.

May I ask if you already solved the problem connecting Ranorex to the Android Emulator?

Thanks for your reply - yes, I did get Ranorex connected to the Android emulator. Turned out that I wasn't aware that I needed to first launch the Ranorex service on the device. All is good with the connection now. I've sent over a Mono for Android built demo apk for your evaluation.
