Recorder stops working

Post by vonballmoosd » Mon Aug 14, 2017 9:58 am

Greetings,
I just upgraded to 7.1 on Friday, after the upgrade the recorder wasn't working. I rebooted my PC and then it worked again. This morning, I tried to pick up where I left off and it wasn't working again. So I rebooted and that fixed it. Now I've been creating new scripts and editing, adding recordings between already recorded items and it stopped working again. I saved, exited Ranorex and went back in and it works again. When the issue occurs, you record but it doesn't record anything. It's quite frustrating as it's taking much longer to create scripts.

*I checked the feed and there was a similar complaint but they were using 7.0 and there was never a resolution so I am posting a new topic.

Thank you for your help!

Diana

Hi Diana,

I'm afraid, it's impossible to tell what's wrong without additional details about your PC, AUT and recorded GUI technology. But in my humble opinion, the best way to resolve this issue would be to contact Ranorex support and ask them for a remote session, so you can show them your issue in a realtime and they may eventually suggest a solution.

Thank you, my coworker checked on Win 7, no issues but his Win 10 version is having the same problems I am on my Win 10. I will contact support then, thanks!
