Hello Ranorex Community!
I have a question with regard to recording and executing our 32bit application on the 64 bit version of Ranorex.
Currently, I have been doing all of my recording and executing with the 32 bit version of Ranorex Studio for our 32 bit WinForm app. I am also developing web based 64 bit apps using the 64 bit version of Ranorex.
Does the "Enable 32/64 Bit Bridge" in settings allow the 64 bit Ranorex to be used for the 32 bit apps development tool? Can I use the 64bit version of Ranorex for both 32bit and 64bit apps?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Recording 32bit applications with 64bit version of Ranorex
Re: Recording 32bit applications with 64bit version of Ranorex
Hi kdreiling,
You're absolutely correct. With the Bit Bridge enabled you should be able to use the 64-bit version of Ranorex Studio with 32-bit applications. While this isn't a requirement, it is helpful for Ranorex Studio. There are also some additional tips when it comes to compiling for a 64-bit architecture here that may be handy as well.

Re: Recording 32bit applications with 64bit version of Ranorex
Thank you, Jacob:
When I navigate to the x64 folder I see multiple versions of "applications"
Ranorex.AppLauncher.exe
Ranorex.BitBridge64.exe
Ranorex.RemoteHost64.exe
Ranorex.UiaLauncher64.exe
RanorexStudio.exe
I've been using the last one for my web recordings, so I'm going on the assumption the same is true for using the 32 bit suite. I'm not sure why there are for .exe's, but just want to ensure that I picked the correct app for that 32 bit suite.
