Sometimes when Ranorex tries to generate a report it fails and asks me if I want to download the report from online.
And if I try to open the report in the reports folder I get this error message:
The data file (reportname.rxlog.data) or transformation cannot be accessed. Possible reasons include:
- The file does not exist in the current location.
- Chrome-based browsers and Firefox cannot load local data files with file:// URLs without allowing file access.
- The test run is in progress and the data file is locked due to frequent saving operations.
- Wait until the test run has finished and increase the auto-save interval of the report for future test executions.
- The report contains invalid XML/XHTML, e.g. unclosed tags. Check code that uses the Report.LogHtml method to only log well-formed XHTML.
Does anybody know what could be causing this or how to fix it? Thank you.
Report doesn't always generate.
Re: Report doesn't always generate.
All possibilities are already written in the ranorex error .
1) Did you try punkts in "Possible reasons include"?
2) Does the file exist in the current location?
3) Do you wait until the test run has finished?
4) Do you try to open *.rxlog on your PC or in browser?
Can you send a screenshot of your reports customization?

Re: Report doesn't always generate.
I've asked the Help Line and searched for more than one Year !! but didn't found an answer: Why are Rrx Reports do not open in a Browser?
Re: Report doesn't always generate.
To open Ranorex reports in web browser, reports must be saved with HTML extension. And even with this extension, reports currently opens only in IE. Ranorex 10.1.6 added support for Chrome and Edge, but it seems it does not work? So IE is currently the only supported browser.
