Is there a way to use Report.Setup or some other API component to change the name of the report file yet maintain the default format of the Report file as seen when running a testsuite?

Have you tried it and are you saying it doesn't work as expected?
I use Report.Setup to set the name of my reports all the time and everything still seems to run fine.

I have tried. It works fine except the format of the logfile is not the same as the format of the logfile when running a tests suite. I like the test suite format but would like to change the name of the file.

Hello,
the name of the report file for a test suite you can change in the test suite context menu.
Right-click on the first test suite line and choose properties.
There you can specify a different name for your report.
