Good day
Not sure if I am really stupid or just missing something
I cannot expand my report logs [.rxlog] to see where scripts are failing. The cursor does change to the hand as if there is a link, but when I click on it, nothing happens.
I am using Using IE 8. My Enable Protected Mode on Local Intranet and Trusted Sites is disabled.
Is there a setting or something I’m missing?? see attached image

Re: Reports: Expand or Collapse option not available
Hi,
There should be a popup to enable the JavaScript part in your IE. Please enable this and then you should see the expand and collapse buttons.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter
Thanks for your reply.
All my scripting which I can think of is set to Enabled on the security tab on my IE. Not sure of the popup you are reffering to or where to find it.

Hi
No I do not get this popup at all. Note - if I try open the .rxlog file directly from disk, I cannot expand the errors either - just get the hover hand cursor when it opens in Ranorex Report viewer.
If I open the .rxlog file from disk in eg Firefox, if just get it in normal text view like in notepad.
If i open the .rxlog file from disk in IEm I get message
---------------------------
Security Alert
---------------------------
Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.
---------------------------
OK

not sure if any of this helps you.

Re: Reports: Expand or Collapse option not available
Hi,
It seems that your IE is highly secured. Please try to decrease the security level of your IE. Because we need the active x plugin to expand and collapse the Test Case. This procedure it handle by java script. There just try to disable protected mode of IE and set the security level of the IE to a lower value. You will find this settings inside the Internet Options -> Security.

Hi
IE security is set to medium [lowest] for Internet Zone; Low for Local Intranet ; low for trusted sites and protected mode is unchecked. Still working.

Re: Reports: Expand or Collapse option not available
Hi
yes I have it enable.
But I have GREAT NEWS. We have got it working correctly thanks to a colleque in the office. The problem was an update from Adobe flash player at one stage. Once I did what the forum suggested, my reports showed.
I thought I'll post this link as well in case anyone else and you at support are also aware of the problem.
