If an object is accidently deleted from the repository there is no undo before the save.

Closing the Repository and not saving the changes will not bring back the deleted object if the changes were not saved.

The only way to get the object back is to close the project and not save any changes.

A user should be able to undo changes to the repository before the changes are saved.

And while we are at this kind of issue.

Multiy level undo like you can do in many other text editors would be very handy.

What Ranorex version do you use? Both recording and repository allow to undo changes since Ranorex version 2.2, including undoing the deletion of a repository item.

Like I said before, this is already supported since version 2.2.

Maybe I do not correctly understand that issue. Can you describe a use case where you cannot undo changes?

Version 3.3.0.17843

1. Open a project.
2. Open a Repository file
3. Select an object and delete it.
4. No Undo action is available
5. Close the edited repositoy Don't save changes.
6. Open the repository item still shows as being deleted
7. Close and reopen Ranorex
8. Open Repository deleted object is now visble.

Expected functionality

Undo available when objects are deleted.

I can not reproduce your issue with the provided steps. If it is possible, please could you send us your testing project ([email protected]). Otherwise it is nearly impossible to reproduce that undo behavior.

The Zipped version is 11.1mb I will try to email it but I think the mail server here will reject it.
