Rich Text component: text identification

Post by Anastasiya » Mon Aug 01, 2011 10:39 am

Hello,

Our application is developed on Flex, and used Rich Text component (spark.components.RichText). We can identify separated text lines, but not the whole text. Could you please provide an example, How could we get the whole text from the Rich Text element?

Also we're wondering what element type we should use for this component. For now we're using 'element', but it doesn't provide RichText specific properties (like 'text' property). See example: body/flexobject/element[@automationname='anInstractionactivityDescription']\

Which instrumentation do you use? If you use the old one please try the new instrumentation with the Ranorex PreLoader http://www.ranorex.com/blog/flashflex-a ... -preloader
If this doesn't help, would it be possible to post or send us a Ranorex Snapshot of your application. With this snapshot we can analyze your issue in more deep.
How to create a Ranorex Snapshot

Thanks in advance.
