So since most users have not added a location to their user Control Panel Profile I was wondering what the demographics are here. If you don't mind, 1st add your location to your profile, then give these questions a go...
1) Where are you?
2) What type of software are you using Ranorex to test with?
3) Ranorex IDE or Visual Studio?
4) Automation language of choice?
5) What other automation solutions do you use?
6) How long have you been in QA/Dev/Automation?
7) If you live somewhere exotic (or anywhere I have never been) will you let me sleep on your couch the next time I want to take a trip?
My answers:
1) I am in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Scottsdale is a suburb of the capitol city of Phoenix.

2) I use Ranorex primarily for testing a Client/Server .NET app as well as some web based apps.
3) Visual Studio.
4) C#
5) I write custom code in C# and VB.NET as it is needed for our use. I also use AutoIt for doing things like builds and administrative stuff on my and other machines on the network.
6) I have been in various roles within QA/DEV/Automation for more than 15 years (and I still enjoy doing it!).

Re: Roll Call Time...
Here are my answers:
1) I am in Bracknell, Berkshire, UK.
2) Using Ranorex for testing a Client/Server .NET app and Ajax web based application.
3) Ranorex IDE.
4) C#.
5) Other automation solutions worked upon consisting of Selenium, SOAPUI. Even I use AutoIt for executing small windows based tasks. Use batch files extensively for deploying releases on test servers. Current setup includes deploying WebService release and Ajax based web application release, executing SOAPUI test plan and Ranorex Automation Suite upon successful release deployment and then mailing the test results to concerned business stakeholders after execution (all part of Continuous Integration Setup). Majority of the stuff is done by batch files and AutoIT scripts.
6) I have been in various roles like Test Engineer, UAT Support Engineer, Test Lead (current) and Automation (current) for last 6 years.
Regards,
Deven B.

2) Plug-ins to Microsoft SQL Server Management studio, but in the future may be rolling out Ranorex across all projects in the company, most of which are standalone apps.
3) Visual Studio
4) C#
5) We use NUnit as our test framework, plugging in the Ranorex assemblies where we need them. A very nice solution!
6) Since 1996, so thats 12ish years... done lots of unit/integration level testing as well as GUI automation(Visual Test, TestComplete and now Ranorex)

7) Seattle is not very exotic, but the Hoh rainforest on the Olympic Pennisula is not too far away. I've been told there are only 6 or so "temperate" rainforests world-wide.
