Hi everyone,
I started to work on mobile testing for iOS with Ranorex and I'm wondering if it's possible to run the tests on an iOS device simulator instead of a real device?
I did not yet find any documentation about this, so I'm wondering if this is possible or not?
If this is possible, is there some documentation available?
Many thanks,
Steven

Re: Running automated test on iOS device simulator?
Hi Steven,
Ranorex does not support automating on an IOS simulator at this time. Simulators really should not be used for testing (manual or automated) as they do not portray the same behavior you would see on a real device. Android, on the other hand, can be truly emulated (and automated by Ranorex).
I hope this answers your question!
Cheers,
Ned
