Starting an IOS application using WiFi

Post by stapes » Wed Dec 16, 2015 1:23 pm

I am having trouble starting an IOS app using the WiFi.

I need this to work.

The ipad applications are updated using a mini mac - but at the moment it would appear, can't be started over the WiFi.

Although the mini mac updates & restarts the app, I can overcome that part, but some of the tests involve stopping & starting the app.

Hello stapes,

Please make sure that the Ranorex Service app is running and in the foreground on your device.
Start/Stop functionality can not be used from the home screen of the device, even if the RxServiceApp is running in the background.

A detailed description can be found in the section IOS Service App our user guide.

Regards,
Bernhard

We want to have our tests run automatically. Seems hard to guarantee that ranorex service will be in foreground in all cases. Is there some other solution or some upcoming release to make this more robust?

Hello drosenstark,

Can you please explain your issue in more detail?
It would be great if you could send your application and a detailed description to [email protected].
It is much more easy to analyze the issue when seeing the problem.
Thank you.

Regards,
Bernhard
