Test reports to non-ranorex users, how?
Re: Test reports to non-ranorex users, how?
Hi all,
I had the same request , i.e. the need for a standalone version of the Ranorex Report Viwer and contacted the Support a couple of days ago.
They sent me the most recent version of a stand-alone Report Viewer:
https://upload.ranorex.com/s/pA5T9L2iqREXaNp
But this tool is not officially supported nor maintained.
It still works with Ranorex Studio 9.3.1, but doesn't support the latest features like playing the videos from the report.
People from Ranorex have the development of an official version in their backlog.
Hope this helps,
Yves

Hi,
it seems the file isn't avaible anymore, again. Or am I missing something?
Would be great if you could upload it one more time

Re: Test reports to non-ranorex users, how?
Must concede I wouldn't see any problems a helpful component for this also. Here, in our conditions, a large portion of our people can't be tried to introduce Ranorex, despite the fact that it'd be a valuable instrument for them to have all the more promptly accessible - once more, in our conditions, I realize yours will be altogether different. So I began sending PDF reports to close by the Ranorex reports on the off chance that they need to glance in a touch of detail yet don't have any desire to contact Ranorex. This was my own workaround. in spite of the fact that like Pavel I thought about bundling up only the report watcher. Eventually, I chose if they couldn't be tried introducing Ranorex they presumably wouldn't try proceeding to discover a chronicle containing only the watcher, or unloading and renaming the records in the .rxzlog document. Thus, PDFs. I question anyone here ganders at those either, in any case!

I agree, that current distribution of Rx reports is far from perfect. Compressed report is not easy enough to open for non-technical people and requires either installation of report viewer or extract compressed report to plain report and manual conversion to HMTL. And PDF is definitely not good for large reports.

Hello,
it seems like the download link was deleted again. Can you please reupload this file.
And is it possible to not delete the file after some time automatically?
Thanks a lot

We also need the ReportViewer as a standalone. Could you please put the current bundle (10.6.1.) online?
Re: Test reports to non-ranorex users, how?
Hi,
An alternative to the reportviewer could be using the ReportToPDFModule (from the automation helpers) in the teardown of your testsuite.
regards,
Don
