Unused Recordings: How to search for

Post by BCTest » Mon Feb 13, 2023 8:20 am

Hi,

just a simple question: How can I search for unused recordings in RxStudio?

Hi,
good question, im interested in this as well.
My best guess so far:
1. Open .rxtst file with Notepad++
2. Ctrl+F and search for the module in question

I agree, this will work fine if you search for explicit one or two recordings - but it may be a pain, if you search for many recordings in this manner.

Hello

I don't know if there's an easy way to find ALL unused recordings, just like you can fin all unused repository items with the "Cleanup" button in the repo window.

But to find if a recording is used of not, there's an easier method, in Ranorex Studio:
- open the "Module browser" window
- right-click on a recording module
- click on "Find all references".

Hope this helps.
