Working with a Dev Component

I was trying to work with Dev Component Clander Component but Ranorex was not able to recognize the object properly.
It was able to recognize the button that opens up the calender and then the buttons on it to move to previous / next months. I was also able to click on a selected date value.
But it is not able to recognize this object as a whole.
Thus I cannot directly set a date in this control nor can read a date from it.
Can someone help ?
