Development question

I have run into an issue with doing development on my local machine (Win7 64) and running on another machine of the same flavor (Win7 64) both of which have the full Ranorex IDE installed. What works on my machine does not always work on the other machine regarding object identification. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Based on this behavior, we are doing development directly on the test machines, which has brought up the concept of remote development and how do we do this if Ranorex and RDP are not compatible? Our test machines will be located in a data center, where access to the machine will not be possible?
Thanks,
Devin

Can you explain more about what is working on one and not on the other? My initial thought is it has to do with timing... Please explain your AUT, the steps you are trying to complete and most importantly the errors you are receiving...

Secondly, in regards to RDP. So long as Ranorex is installed on the machine you are connecting TO through RDP, it should work fine. You cannot use Ranorex if it is installed locally and you are trying to test on a machine through RDP however since RDP just displays a single graphic rather than passing the elements and their attributes through the connection.
