Hi,

We are looking to automate the nevron charts placed in a .NET based desktop application.
The Chart controls are not being recognized by Ranorex.

Is there a way we could automate the nevron chart controls.

Please find attached the snapshot file for your reference.

are there any news on identification of Nevron controls (in general)? Are there any workarounds or solutions available?

Hi Michael,

I've downloaded the latest samples of Nevron Chart and it seems that the chart itself is rendered as an image. Therefore, I’m afraid it is not possible to recognize the values inside the chart.
A possible workaround to automate this control would be using Image Based Automation as described in the following chaper of our User Guide

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. In our case, the problem is not related to a chart control. We struggle to identify the nodes in a Nevron tree view. Can you let me know whether they are some kind of bitmap only as well?

Could you please upload Ranorex snapshot of the tree element in question?

If the tree elements cannot be identified by Ranorex Spy/Recorder, you may still try the GDI Capture List approach, as described here:

If it does not help either, your only hope (aside asking Nevron Chart developers to add proper accessibility support) is image-based recording.
