Validation while recording in key pass application

Using 3.3.3, we are running into an issue where in your keypass sample application we cannot validate a new row added on the main form. What is happening is that when validate is clicked and the user attempts to go inside the form the mouse bounces back out side and navigating inside the form is impossible.

Running Windows 7

Hello,

Unfortunately, we could not reproduce your issue with keepass.
Could you please describe step by step how you get the behavior?

Have you tried to create a new solution in 'Ranorex Studio' and validate a new entry?
Please let us know if it works.

Hello,

Thank you for your video.
We have never seen this weird behavior.

Could you please try to validate the calculator instead of keepass?
Please let us know if it happens with the calculator as well.

Have you tried to uninstall Ranorex and install it again?

This does not happen with the calculator.

We are waiting for that user to have time to uninstall and reinstall Ranorex. We have a release coming up and this is back burnered until that goes out the door.

Hi,

Could you send us your Ranorex Solution where you can see the issue? This will enable us to analyze the steps in detail.
Please also attach a Ranorex snapshot file of Keypass, because this will allow us to compare if everything is correctly identified on your machine.

Thanks,
Markus

I have attached the solution and the snapshot for you to review.

What is happening is that we start keypass via your start application feature on start of a new recording then we type in rx for password and then the mouse goes nuts.

Hopefully you can help us target what is the issue.

Note: after the recording has stopped... the mouse is easily able to scroll into the area.

Hello,

Thank you for your file.
Unfortunately, there are missing project files in your attached zip file.

In order to analyze this issue we would need the whole project.
Please send us all files in the project folder.

How to find the project folder:
Right-click on your project and select 'Open Folder in Explorer'.

Regards,
Markus (T)

Hello,

Thanks for your sample.

Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce your weird behavior.

There seems to be a problem with an action (enter 'rx') in your recording.
Please delete all recordings and record these actions again.

Regards,
Markus (T)

We have done this already. We have actually tried new solutions, new installations, multiple recordings.

Hello,

As it doesn't happen with the calculator you could try to uninstall KeyPass and install the latest version of it. Please try again to create a new solution with a new recording.

If you want to have a remote session please send us an email to [email protected].
