Problem with validating PDF file

Dear Ranorex Support

I'm trying to access and validate some data on the PDF file, but unfortunately without any success.
It looks like Ranorex sees the content of the PDF file as an image.

I use Ranorex-5.2.2.21596.

I attached also ZIPped example of the PDF file.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestion how to approach this issue.

With kind regards
Waldemar

Hi,

I guess the problem is in document restrictions set to this PDF.

I think you will have to ask the author of the PDF to lift these restrictions?

Dear Pavel,

Thank you very much for your answer and for the suggestion to change document security settings.

I asked already development team to implement this change, but I'm afraid this may not help.
I generated a similar PDF document but from another program, where different HTML2PDF convert was used.
The security settings are exactly the same ... but in this case Ranorex Spy works perfect. I attached an example.

I let you know afterwards about the result.

With kind regards

Hi,

In this case, there is probably something wrong with the PDF exported from that other tool? Another thing you can try is to play a bit with the Accessibility settings in Adobe Reader (menu Edit >> Accessibility). But this may not help either. Good luck!
