Start instrumented iOS app

Hi,
I can restart iOS app when it is running and deploy (update) over an existing iOS app but I cannot seem to start an instrumented app when it is not running to begin with.

I am trying the following method but I get a timeout exception after 30 seconds:
Host.Local.RunMobileApp(iOsTabletDeviceName, iOSAppId, true);

I got the iOSAppId using Ranorex spy so that is right. I used the name which appears in Ranorex for iOsTabletDeviceName.

Also should this method work when the tablet is in guided access mode?

Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

To use the start/stop functionality via USB or WiFi, please ensure that the Ranorex Service Application is running and active on the device. If the Ranorex Service Application is running in background, the application under test cannot be started.

Hope that information helps.
