I went through the steps outlined here:

But when I try to run the test, I get the following message:
The following module variables are not bound to a data column:
varIOSDevice

I did it per the walk through, what did I do wrong?

It looks like that your data binding is not complete.
Have you already done the step 'Bind the data source to the variable'?
Please make sure, that you are using the data connector as shown in the User Guide.

OK, it seems to only give this error when I try to run the individual recording, but runs fine when I run the test case.

I specified the variable in the recoding (as explained in the user guide) and bound it, but it is unable to run stand alone unless I switch it from the variable name to the device name.

Also, is there any way to run the test simultaneously on multiple devices? I currently have 5 iOS devices to test on and the test takes some time to run. It would be nice if I could attach all devices and have them run at once.

Please take a look at this post regarding your warning message.

You could run your tests simultaneously on multiple devices (same way as for Android).
Please take a look at Run Tests in parallel in our User Guide.
