Ranorex 5.4.3 and iOS 9.3: Missing AccessibilityLabel Values

Hi there,

I just updated my iPad to iOS 9.3 and tried to run my testsuite which failed.

I checked the UI Elements with Ranorex Spy and I saw that the AccessibilityLabel is not longer recognized, you can see it in the screenshots from spy:
iOS 9.2.png
iOS 9.3.png
Can you please fix it?

Thank you,
Patrick

I'd suggest updating Ranorex to 5.4.5 before and seeing if this fixes the issue.

Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately iOS 9.3 is currently not supported, but the fix for this iOS version will be released in the next few days.

Thank you for your understanding.

I'll update this posting as soon as the version is released.

Regards,
Markus (S)

Hello Markus,

Is this 5.4.6 version just for the iOS 9.3 issue and that the 6.0 version is about to be released soon?
Also, the link provided seems to not include the RanorexLicenseManager since its version and Studio's version have to match.

Just wondering if it's worth downloading and installing 5.4.6 or just wait for the 6.0 version...

Our biggest issue right now with Ranorex is the missing support for WKWebView so we're hoping version 6.0 will take care of that.

Thanks.
Gilbert

Regarding iOS, yes, Ranorex 5.4.6 is just about iOS 9.3 support.

I'm very sorry, but I have to disappoint you. Yes, 6.0 may be released soon (it might still take some weeks), but it will not add support for the iOS WKWebView . Sorry! :?
The support for WKWebView is one of highest ranked features in our backlog, but its implementation is not started, yet.

Alex

Any changes to RxBrowser and RxServiceApp in this Ranorex version 5.4.6 or are they basically the same as in 5.4.5?

Thanks.
Gilbert

Hi Gilbert,

There were no big changes in the Rx Service Application / RxBrowser.
Basically the Rx Service Application has the same version number as in Ranorex 5.4.5. Only the RxBrowser got a new version number.

You can get the latest version of our mobile applications directly from our Mobile Download Archive

Thanks for the update, Markus.

If the issue we're seeing with the RxBrowser in 5.4.5, "Textbox rolls up and off the screen when you start typing in values", has been fixed then we will install 5.4.6. Otherwise, maybe we'll just wait for the 6.0 release.

Thanks again.
