What is the best practice for these 2 actions? Both can add a value to to a UI.

I set the value directly when I am setting up a test scenario and I just want a value in the field - speed vs UI testing e.g. when typing in the full path and name for some file. But I'll use the key press sequence when I want Rx to type into that field, which may result in other events firing e.g. causing some other field to update.
