How to Validate-Compare Image to an image on my C:

Hi,

My question is how do I validate/CompareImage to an image in a folder in my C: ?
Now, I see that I can use a Repository item. But I don't know how to add a picture to the repository so I can add it and allow Ranorex to use it to compare it.

Thank you!
Arthur M.

HI thank you for your quick response.
For me in the "Screenshot name" column there is no "..." . I see the "..." in the Repository item column but not the "Screenshot name" column.
How do I turn that on?
thanks again.
Arthur.

Hi Arthur,

A repository item needs to be selected for this action before selecting a screenshot. Ranorex needs to know what item in your application to compare to the image on your machine. A global/system wide screenshot is possible but not advised since something as simple as the time in the taskbar will (almost) never be the same as the reference image.

Hope this helps!
