Hi,
You can run your automation scripts with Firefox and Internet Explorer and you don't have to change the automation scripts. The other browsers you can automate with MSAA, but you cannot use the same script as for Firefox and Internet Explorer. Therefore, principal it is possible to automate all browsers, but instead of Firefox and Internet Explorer automation, you have some limitations with Opera, Chrome, Safari.

Related to this, are there any known issues with running against IE9, or should all versions of IE work the same?

Hi,
There shouldn't be a problem to automate IE9 with Ranorex, because we use the DOM object to test browser applications. Microsoft also takes care that old web pages which were developed with IE8 or IE7 work with the new version. So there are no breaking changes in IE9 and Ranorex will work as you know it for example from IE8.
