Hi,
I would like to know if Ranorex has a JSF test automation. I have to do image based automation with Ranorex.
I want to Ranorex don't use İDs, I want to image based (screenshot) for test automation. Because I want to try different internet website. But,I don't it when Ranorex use İDs.

Hi Aysee12,

You are asking if you can automate JSF web applications with Ranorex, right?
If so the general answer is yes, since Ranorex supports HTML and since the front end of a JSF web application is also HTML.
So I would highly recommend to use the web plugin and not to use image based automation.
When you don't want to use IDs for object identification you can get rid of them by following the steps described here: Automated Testing and Dynamic IDs.
May I also ask you to send (to [email protected]) or to post a Ranorex snapshot file of the elements you have troubles with?
