Hello,

I want to know what are the Ranorex processes that need to be added as exceptions for an antivirus software.

The application under test has a web part and a few WPF desktop apps. The Ranorex tests are running as MS test methods on Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10 VMs, in IE11 and Chrome.

The reason I'm asking is to see if I can get performance improvements. Currently the lowest performance is on Win 10 VM.

Hi Elena,

In general, there are no known incompatibilities. However, some antivirus or security software blocks certain Ranorex functionality. Consequently, if you experience problems with your automation and are running antivirus or security software, we recommend temporarily switching that software off for a test run.

Additionally, I'd recommend updating Ranorex to the latest version since Ranorex 5.4.2 is already outdated and not supported anymore.
