Ranorex does not work with Netbeans

My Ranorex 4.0.0 is extremely slow in response (e.g. to highlight element) and the tracking function does not work at all.when Netbeans is opened. If I close Netbeans and restart Ranorex then it Ranorex starts working as expected.

Ranorex 4.0.0 is rather old and they aren't releasing updates for it anymore. You should upgrade to a newer version of Ranorex and see if that fixes your issues. In general, you should keep Ranorex updated to the latest version you have a license for. If that is 4.0, then you can at least use the bug fixes in 4.0.6.
In addition, there have been some significant improvements in Java integration with 5.0 and newer. If you are able, please upgrade to the newest version of Ranorex (5.3.1) and see if the problems persist.
