Visual Studio - Real Integration

Post by moveo_software » Wed Jan 28, 2009 4:23 pm

Hi Ranorex-Developers,

are you planning an real visual studio integration for your upcoming 2.0 Release? I mean something like an AddIn/AddIn-Collection where I find the RepositoryExplorer (and xml2code-generator) and an integrated ranorex-spy.

In our company we're working with VS08 and don't want to switch to another IDE (like SharpDevelop or RanorexStudio).
But we want to use the GUI-Repositories as well.
Currently I'm using RanorexSpy to create a GUI-Repo which I then open in RanorexStudio where it generates the belonging *.cs file.
Only then I can use the Repo in my VisualStudio-Projects.......
I think this is not a real VS-Integration, is it?

Best regards,
Ramon[/b]

Hi Ramon,

The real Ranorex Visual Studio Integration (PlugIn) will come with V2.1 or V2.2.

You do not have to open the Ranorex Studio to generate your C# file for the repos. Generate your code out of the Ranorex Spy by clicking "Generate C# Code" in the toolbar:

Hi Gabor,

thanks for your fast reply.
It's nice to hear (see), that you're planning the plugin.

And thanks also for the hint about code generation in RanorexSpy.
I'm angry about myself because it was/is so obviously....

Best regards,
Ramon
