[WPF] Skipping a module without failing

Post by lcr » Tue May 25, 2021 3:39 pm

In my app, there could be a popup after the user logs in, but it's not always the case.

How can I tell in Ranorex to not fail the test if the popup doesnt appear, and just continue through the next module ?

At the moment, I'm waiting for the popup to exist for 5 sec. If it doesnt appear, it goes straight to the TEARDOWN modules without checking the others, which I dont want to.

Hi,

You can set the action as "optional". Simply set "Continue on fail" to True.

Hi,

If possible you should use a popupwatcher for this kind of popus.
see the user guide (https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/ran ... roduction/)

when using continue on fail true, you always have to wait for it (which in the end can take a lot of time).
when using popuphandler, you dont have this time penalty ( but has sometimes other drawbacks)
